Catalina Island?

In November, the Atlantica stops at Catalina Island, DR. Has anyone on this board actually been there? Mainland is 1.5 m away. Are there boats going to mainland DR? Do you have to arrange excursions through the ship or are there operatators on the island? Any info will help.

What I have seen about this island that it is beautiful! just go on board the island walk around and hang on the beach if that is what you like to do!

 

I wish we were going right there instead of La Romana, DR! If I want to go to the island it is $70pp and you only get 1 drink, the rest you have to buy yourself and food too!
