SAFE Park & Cruise

I am looking for a hotel/motel in a neighborhood that is relatively safe to leave my car during our cruise from Port Everglades. Shuttle service to and from the cruise port and free parking are necessary amenities. Any suggestions from the CC posters are appreciated.
