Rome experts - Please check my itinerary...my questions follow:

1. Colosseum (visit)

2. Arch of Constantine (walk by)

3. Forum (visit)

4. Piazza Venezia (walk by)

5. Pantheon (visit)

6. Piazza Navona (walk by)

7. St Peter's Basilica (visit)

8. San Pietro railway station for return to Civitavecchia

 

Questions:

-Is this do-able? Arrive in Civitavecchia port at 7am/ship departs at 7 pm.

-Can I buy the BIRG passes at a newstand or do they need to be purchased at the train station?

-Taking the R train from Civitavecchia, which is the best stop for the Colosseum? (Ostienze, Travestere or ?) And what is the easiest/fastest way to get to the Coloseum from the recommended stop?

- Do you recommend getting touring tickets for any of these stops?

- Do you recommend taking any cabs or buses to get from place to place?

- Does the 5 pm return train give us enough time to get back to the ship in time?
