Palmetto Lady Posted September 19, 2010 #76 Share Posted September 19, 2010 I subscribe to Vogue and pick up InStyle at the supermarket. I read the fashion columns in all the newspapers to which I subscribe. This Board is the first and only place that I have read that crewneck tee shirts are a "NO". When did that happen? How come I never heard it?

How come I never heard it? I'm not sure it's the "crewneck" so much as the thick unflattering shape and non-draping fabric of a standard college/sports team/graphic t-shirt. If you have a light cotton t-shirt that follows your curves and happens to have a crew neck, that's more flattering. I personally prefer v-necks to crew necks because I have a large chest (the higher the neck, the bigger my boobs look:rolleyes:) But I also prefer cotton shirts with a little stretch - more flattering on my body. But not too tight to show off my back fat:o
