Here are my thoughts about our cruise on the Epic:

The ship is magnificent ! Huge casino, friendly, helpful staff and wonderful food.

Enough has been said about the rooms. I will add my 2 cents .... the sink is right next to the bed - no kidding. So if you would like to sleep in the morning and your spouse/cabin mate gets up earlier and uses the sink - well you get the picture. Ridiculous layout. I attached pics of the room to give you a good idea of what to expect. As you can see, on one side of the entry door is the toilet stall and on the other side the shower stall.

Prior to boarding I read a lot of complaints about the dining. My experience was that the food in the dining rooms was very good. While they had the standard menu which did not change , they offered nightly chef's specials. We did eat at Le Bistro which was wonderful, but were quite satisfied with the Manhattan Room dinners.

To all you ballroom dancers - the Manhattan Room is similar to a NYC supper club with a live band and dancing throughout dinner. The only drawback was that it stops serving around 9:30 and that is the end of the dancing and we could not find any other venues on the ship for dancing.

Embarkation was the quickest we ever had - we were on the ship within 1/2 hour of arriving at the Port. Disembarkation was quicker yet ! Very nice job NCL !

All in all, we enjoyed the Epic and if you can live with the cabin issues, it is a very nice ship.
