Returning to UK on evening flight

At the end of our cruise on27th Nov we will dock at 6.30am in NYC, Cunard say that we will be informed on board as to what arrangements there will be to get us to Newark for our 19.30 UK flight.

We have found reference on other threads that there will be a NYC tour then we will go to the airport.

As we are in NYC for a day after a TA which we have booked a Cunard City tour we don’t want to pay for duplication of tour.

 

Anybody know what tour to expect on the day of flying home and what total costs including transfer to airport.

I have sailed out of NY three times with Cunard and each one was different. The first was a tour of New York, the second, we were put up in a hotel close to the airport, the third time we had a couple of days in NY after the cruise. Sorry to be evasive, but I am not sure what they do now. If you are put up in the hotel, you will be given a room for the day so you can shower and change before getting onto the plane.

further to our question, we are on a TA arriving on the 16th Nov then on to the Caribbean returning to NYC, so we have a full day on the 16th plus a full day on the 27th in NYC before we fly home that evening

You always have the option of ignoring the transfer and taking a taxi.

I gather we will have to leave the ship in the morning, flight out is 19.30hrs in the evening could well have several hours to kill

Go into Manhattan and have a long lunch

Thanks Cap'n: we might cancel the NYC shore excursion after doing the TA part and wander in and enjoy that long lunch then book transfer/shore excursion before we fly home, lest we dont have to lug suitcases about allday!
