Everything that I've looked at in the way of activities seems to close at 5pm...even the beaches! If we're in port all night, overnight, and would like to do some more things....what is there to do??? I hate to waste a whole evening on the ship when we could be trying new things!!

We will be in the same situation as you in Jan except I have a DD and friend both 21 that I want to take them to to have fun but be safe.

Don;t expect to find much going on in Nassau at night especially if you go during the week......safe night life options are limited to Atlantis on pardise island . if I recall correctly there is also like a mini village of some sort on paradise island with restaurants and some local street" entertainment...the downtown area by the port is somewhat of a dump and did not seem that safe at night time....I would ask the ship crew for safe recommendtaions if you do not want to venture too far from the ships...the ship crews frequent a few of the venues within walking distance of the port..... bars and clubs in downtown nassau included usual suspects like hard rock cafe , senor frogs and a couple dance clubs. the cable beach resort area ( 15 minutes from port) has a number of hotels and a huge casino but is suprisingly dull amd charmless with very few entertainment options available other than gambling .

We just got back from Nassau yesterday and there is not a lot to do after 5. How ever my kids did find Senior Frogs it's a bar that is located right at the port you can walk to it from the ship takes like 5 minutes the kids said they had a blast there.

the only ports ships stay in late or overnight are the ports with casinos

the primary activity in those ports is the casino and their 'vegas' style shows.

you may well find another club/bar for entertainment but the target is to get you at the casino

after dark entertainment in Nassau for kids???? I keep mine on board . . .

There's plenty to do without setting foot on Atlantis, depends on the day of the week. Even Atlantis is lax during the weekdays.

Hilton has Havana Nights on Thursdays, Saturday's the Sheraton has a band, Sunday and Monday - Herbie and the Crew at Seafood Haven, Fridays and Saturdays, the Fish Fry is hopping. You'll also find the Green Parrot at the foot of the PI Bridge has music in season on weekends, so do many other places.. even conch fritters.

Check the local "what's on" newspaper, or Tourist news when you get into port. It will tell you what's going on

There's also bambu at the wharf.. They are open most nights.

and Crazy Johnny's Rock and Roll east of town.

I hope your kids are over 18.. Senor Frogs is a drunk fest, with wet t shirt contest, body shots and dancing on the bar. Not someplace I'd let my kids hang out.. unless they were living on their own.

I'm also booked on the overnight in Nassau - my plan was to do some sort of water excursion while my other family is either in the casino or on the beach. Our sunsets in Florida are amazing over the beach, I was thinking of a beach to hang out and watch the sunset - are there no beaches still open? Do beaches on an island close? Or is it just a safety concern?

more info please...

Hotel beaches are closed, public beaches would be a Safetly concerns.. a high risk.
