Thanks for posting your review! I'm loving it! It's that time of the year for me to go review crazy and read as many as I can! We'll be on the Fascination in 38 days for the 3rd time. I can't wait to see the upgrades!

DH yells at me when I tell him how many more days to go... he says it's bad enough waiting as it is without me telling him how many more days.

 

I can't wait to read more!

Hey Stef~~~still loving cruising I see!!! I will be on the Fascination again in 80 days a girls only this time!!! I am like you reading everything again~you will LOVE the upgrades we were on the Fantasy in June and she had the upgrades~ I can't even mention the cruise because my DH isn't going! Oh well next time!

How have you been?? Oh yeah... we still love it. We are doing a aft balcony this time! :D I am as excited as the first time! Can you believe that?!?! I can't wait!!

 

Sorry for the mini hi-jack! Debi was on our first cruise! :)

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed the review. Overall it was exactly what we wanted - a relaxing cruise! We were extremely lazy on this one!:cool:

And now, for those interested....

Free Drinks!!! - That's right! I said Free Drinks!:D $1 off all drinks was offered during the Captian's Celebration on Friday (Elegant Night) from 5pm-8pm. But there was a little teaser in the Thursday Fun Times Looking Ahead section (at the bottom of the tear out Activities side) that mentioned a Fun Farewell Celebration featuring Complimentary Cocktails. It ended up being held in the Palace Theater on the last day (Sea Day). At 4pm sharp, the doors opened to let folks in. The female singer from the Stars Bar area was up with the Orchestra singing "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang. DH didn't want to join me so I met up with a friend we made at the Deck Party and proceeded right up front. It was basically like the Captain's Parties of old, with servers strolling around with wine, champagne, manhattans and that bright pink fruit punch.

CD Trevor Block came on stage, did his Top 10 Dumbest Questions routine (including one that reportedly happened on this sailing at the Photo Desk - "How do we know which pictures are ours?":rolleyes:). Then they brought up several staff of each group (galley, cleaning, bar staff, casino, Camp including Fun Ship Freddy, etc.) and had us applaud them. 30 minutes and it was over, but it was fun in a campy sort of way.

That's mostly it! We made some good friends on the cruise (including one woman who swore the boat was moving before the engines even came on - DH hooked her up on Ginger Pills and she was fine!:cool:) and got to relax for a few. Of course, with hurricanes, school starting and normal work stress, now we are ready to go on the Fascination again in 87 days!:D

Was there a past guest party?

 

Past Guest parties are only on the 5-day and longer cruises and this was a 4-day.

 

Thanks so much, OBX for the great info and review. I just can't wait! We'll wave to you as we debark!
