Question: Leaving ship after checking in

I know I read on this board somewhere about boarding the ship, then leaving the ship for a few hours before departure. Please correct me if i'm wrong, i am asking this for my daughter, as she and her husband will be flying in around 6:30pm the day b4 our cruise, so they will not have much time in New Orleans that evening, and want to spend a few more hours there before the actual departure. I did a search but couldnt come up with much. She knows she needs to be back well before departure time.

Yes it is easy to do and easy to get back on.

We have done it on every cruise. No problem.

No worries at all. We did this in New Orleans ourselved in December. They will even tell you when to be back

I don,t know about New Orleans, but in Miami, after we left the ship, upon our return we had to get in a long line to go thru security again. :eek:

This is funny. I wait all year to get on the darn thing, why would I want to get off it for a few hours? It's exactly where I want to be.

But my daughter and her husband aren't as anxious as I.....Just not cruisers yet, this is their first, just wait, after this one, they will be hooked.
