I've left this message on the Conquest Roll Call also, I'm hoping someone can help. I heard people stayed at the Hilton Riverside, left their car there for the week, and then walked to the pier, all for $99. I called this week, but on March 19, the cost was $200 and something. I am interested in spending one night where I can leave the car and be in walking distance or they will provide a shuttle. any suggestions? Is the parking area at the pier still under construction? Thanks!

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Select which is within walking distance to the pier. The charge is 129.00 which includes parking and a free shuttle if you don;t want to walk. Hopefully it will be okay... Has anyone here stayed there? thanks

The Hilton special is no more. I guess they don't like cruisers.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn on Convention Center Blvd. They have a park & cruise special. Go to their website at http://holiday-inn-select-new-orleans-convention-center.com/html/new_orleans_hotel_discounts_.html - scroll down and you will see the special. They give you 7 nights parking - you do have to pay for parking for the night you stay - which is $12.00. They also give you -

  • Bottle of California Wine
  • Continental Breakfast for Two
  • Parking Up to Seven Days
  • Complimentary Shuttle to Cruise Terminal
  • Complimentary Shuttle to Harrah's Casino and the Historic French Quarter

We are going to take the shuttle to the French Quarter. We also plan on taking the bottle of wine onboard.

It is very close to the pier - we plan on walking - but could take the shuttle - which is actually the Fulton Street Garage shuttle - the hotel uses their lots for overflow and they give the hotel a good daily rate.

I just checked prices on cruise and park. I'm getting $209 plus tax for 1 night on Mar. 19. Transportation to and from is provided, but we would need to pay for the 8th night of parking, which for a van is $26. I may keep looking. Let me know if you hear of something better!

Unforunately your cruise date is what the hotel considers HIGH SEASON. Keep checking around.

For Others From the website ------

$129 - Low Season (June - August, December)

$139 - Shoulder Dates (January, May, September)

$209 - High Season (February - April, October, November)
