Underwatr Posted September 20, 2010 #176 Share Posted September 20, 2010 Probably right. I focused on "the Assessment Team may now stand down."
heywood Posted September 20, 2010 #177 Share Posted September 20, 2010 We did also have an incident when the Assessment team were called and it was later announced by the Commodore that there had been a leak of chemicals in the laundry dry cleaning equipment. As this information was given to us, perhaps the 'technical fault' was just that and too technical for most of us to understand. The 3 incidents were dealt with calmly and very little fuss- as one would expect. As we had very calm seas, these were the only bits of drama or excitement.;)
brigittetom Posted September 21, 2010 #178 Share Posted September 21, 2010 Hi Heywood, We were on the crossing with you, I wish I would have gotten your information so we could have met. I heard the laundry announcement and I was just grateful that we had everything in place to pack. ;)
heywood Posted September 21, 2010 #179 Share Posted September 21, 2010 Yes it would have been good to meet. I found that everyone was very friendly and we had some lovely chats with people from various places- that's what we enjoyed. Re the laundry issue, I was in the Book Club discussion at the time and Gaynor, the librarian, listened attentively and then said that we may get interrupted but would carry on until. You could see that the 'Assessment Party' announcement was taken very seriously, as one would expect, and as already pointed out re the dining room incident. It's amazing, how relaxed you feel onboard and then back at home -
