rainforestgirl Posted September 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2010 Are they per person or per car? I am specifically wondering approx. how much it should cost to get from the cruise ship to Eagle Beach. I did a google search for taxi rates and there is a download of all the rates. The price is per taxi(up to 5 people) and it looks like it should be about $10 each way.

robanddiane Posted September 15, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 15, 2010 Just back from Aruba and taxis are priced per car and are set rates, usually 9 or 12 us$ per trip. Local bus is $1.25 per person anywhere.
Arubalisa Posted September 16, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2010 Aruba Taxi Fares From the cruise terminal to Eagle Beach, the fare is $10 each way, per fare, NOT person, and an additional $3 on Sunday and holidays. Taxis will take, a maximum of 5 persons, regardless the size of the vehicle. Fares are set by the government and there are no meters. I suggest knowing the government fare before getting into the taxi and having the driver state how much he/she will charge. Not to say that some are dishonest, but let's just say, some like to add in a nice tip to the price of the fare. ;)

Arubalisa Posted September 17, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Thanks for the heads up! You are welcome. :) I can also add, that if you believe there is a discrepancy in fares, ask the driver to see his taxi fare chart. They are required to have them to show passengers.
