Snorkeling through carnival valor

We did Goff's Caye, and really enjoyed it. I can't tell you the difference between the 3 since we only did the 1. The big advantage is that the tour picks you up at the ship. If you were to do something independent you would need to tender in to shore (about 20 minutes), then go back out on the operators boat.

We went out on a basic snorkel boat - nothing fancy - about 25-30 people. It was a pretty speedy boat. On the way, they handed out the snorkel equipment. Once we got to the little island, you had time to settle, then they gave instructions. As they led the group out, a smaller boat followed along to pick up anyone who got tired. Although you wade in from the beach, the water does get pretty deep very quickly. They do have vests for everyone to wear. I really don't remember how long we were in the water - maybe an hour and a half?

There was a small craft hut that had some refreshments for sale. We had another hour or so to chill on the beach, or you could go back out. There were no chairs or umbrellas. There was only a portapotty - no showers. This is truly a 'Gilligan's Island'!

Once we got back to the ship, we still had plenty of time to clean up, then jump on the tender to walk around the port area.

Hope other people can share their experiences!
