Safety in Antigua

I haven't been to Antigua since 1993. Going in April with my sisters so I'm a little concerned if it is still safe. Been reading some things that don't sound to good.

Any help would be much appreciated

We were in Antiigua last week. People were very friendly. It was our favorite island. Don't worry. enjoy

We were there 2 wks. ago, some of the people are very pushy, they jump in front of you , trying to get you into their shop. We also meet some very nice people, Lawrence of Antigua was very nice so was his drivers.It's like anywhere, there are some that are not so nice.

Stay with Lawrence and you will be very safe. He is wonderful. We loved him.

well if you compare antigua to st. thomas, st. croix, st. martin, aruba, puerto rico, st. lucia, barbados, or jamaica then you will find that this island is far safer. fewer reports of crime per capita by far.
