Long pants for ice skating

I know that long pants are required for ice skating, but any idea if mid-length pants such as capris or yoga pants are allowed?

You are welcome to wear capris or long shorts while ice skating. This is on Royal Caribbean's website:

'Please note ice skating on our Voyager Class and Freedom Class ships requires that all skaters wear long pants and socks for their own comfort and safety. Capris and long shorts are permitted'.

It appears now that all skaters - adults included - must wear a helmet while ice skating ???

Can anyone who has recently cruised confirm this ? Thanks.

Even on casual nights?

Love it !! :D

Didja notice people aren't lining up to insist that if they want to wear "juicy" shorts or some other outrageous getup that it is OK ? Maybe they should install an ice floor in the MDR, and have the waitstaff ride zambonis. Then they could require long pants in the MDR.

Just got off the Freedom this past Sunday and NO helmets were required.
