Dollar car rental shuttle MIA to Port of Miami

for those of you who have just used this service..what type of shuttle is this..a full size bus or just a van? How many people with luggage will it accomodate?..there will be 8 of us dropping off 2 rental cars that we picked up in FLL then we will need to get to the port with our luggage....so hoping this will work for all of us..(we are two families of 4 travelling together)...also we will need to reverse this when we get back from cruise. picked up at port to MIA car rental center then get our cars and head to FLL for departure..does anyone forsee any problems or should this work fairly smoothly for us...thanks for your input

We used the shuttle one way from port to car rental center and it went fairly smoothly. The vehicle that we were in was a typical car rental bus.

We used Dollar Rental after our last cruise in Miami. At the Port of Miami, the bus stops at the meridian (not right up to the port terminal) but it is just a very short walk.

Your luggage goes inside the bus with you and the driver will help you get it onboard. There are shelves to hold the luggage. The bus brought us right to the terminal at MIA and then we picked up our rental car with no problem at all.

We spent the day in Fort Lauderdale before our flight home later that evening.

After a nice relaxing day, we brought the car back to FLL, and we hopped on the same kind of bus that took us right to our airline terminal at FLL. The whole procedure was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

 

We rented a mini van and it was great for the 4 of us and our luggage.
