Best place for 7 to stay & get to port!?!?!

Another question:

 

Does anybody have any idea what motel/hotel we should try to book for an overnight prior to a cruise? Will be flying in so no car. Need something fairly easy b/c 2 are over 80 yrs old, & 2 are under 5yrs old.

We stayed at Homewood Suits. It's a newer Hotel in the Hilton chain of Hotels. It's 3 blocks from the French Quarter and a few easy blocks to the pier. Doorman can get you transportation. They have suites with bedrooms complete with kitchen, living room and dining room, free breakfast buffet daily. ( it's pretty good actually) and during the weeknights, they have a free build your own dinner buffet thing going with free beer and wine on tap. We really enjoyed our stay there and recommend it.
