Hi,

We will be in Chios in late Oct & wonder if there is anything to see/do within walking distance of the tender site.

Not sure we want to reserve a tour but just take a pleasant walk in town.

Many thanks, Dick & El

There is not much in town - a nice street bordered by the water on one side with shops, bars, internet cafes, etc.

It would be a shame not to get out and see some of the important sites. We chose to rent a car so we could go both north to the monastery and south to the mastic villages (which the ship's tours did not do). We had a leisurely day with plenty of time and got back a couple hours before the ship sailed which is when I walked along the main street.
