138east Posted September 18, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2010 What do you consider a "good" cabin? It's my understanding that the D balconies are pretty much the same inside - they just assign different numbers to them and charge different prices. My preference would be deck 7 near the aft elevators. There's a whole bunch of D2's close to the aft elevators for your sail date. All the deck 6 balconies have less plexiglass and they seem more enclosed. I know I preferred the deck 7 balcony over the deck 6 balcony. The Business Services area on 6 can be congested and noisy whereas the Library on 7 is always an oasis of calm and quiet.
crookedhalo Posted September 18, 2010 #6 Share Posted September 18, 2010 Please note 7388 is not a D2, it's an E1 (I know, I've got 7688 booked for next year and love the price break for the balcony:p)
Beachgirl 2 Posted September 19, 2010 #7 Share Posted September 19, 2010 Just had cabin 9228 & that was a d_1. I think e-2's are smaller than D_1's?

You will not be able to view the ocean from a seated position below the railing (unless you are very tall ;-)). We booked deck 8 just to be sure...check out post #8 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1232854
