cruise payment

I'm hoping to get some help from a UK cruiser. I am an expat living in Canada. I have been looking at P and O cruises to the Mediterranean next year. I have some spending money in a UK bank with a Visa Debit card. I tried a dummy booking on the internet this morning. All of my information was accepted - even an overseas phone number. Then I got to payment choices - Mastercard, Visa, Diners, or American Express. Would Visa include my debit card? Nowhere on the site can I find an e mail address where I can ask for help with this. I couldn't try it because I didn't want the payment to go through yet - just checking things out. Any thoughts, help, would be appreciated.
