Hey all, we post to the Mexican Riviera lots, a cruise it often during winter. We are going to be booking the Mariner here soon, and we have been on her before.

Thought the interior cabins above the Promenade might be fun.

But, what's the catch, there are many available, affordable???

Are they Noisy????

Thanks!

and c-ya aboard if you make to the Mexican Riviera

The cabins we are considering are like the ones upper left in our prior Mariner sailing pic below

G'day.

Have had Promenade and can tell you to go for it!!:)

Cost is higher than other insides, but great to sit/relax on the window seat in cabin and watch daily passing parade of people and the entertainment at night..

We reckon better than an outside, where most of the time its dark, or water forever.

Noise? Soundproofing is great, no noise apart from muffled sound of music during parades or when PA system used on "bridge" for captains welcome/entertainment nights..

More entertainment too .

If people in opposite rooms dont pull curtains while they dress , you get more free entertainment... LOL..... Likewise, they get more if you dont

Sue and Phil.

Our PR cabin on Adventure was on deck six directly over the pub and it was noisy in the evening as we could hear the entertainer below. Pick a cabin over a shop or an eating area.

The lights in the Royal Promenade area are only dimed a bit at night so you will have to use the curtains to obtain total darkness in the room. Also since the PR cabin on the opposite side overlooks your window you must close the curtains or at least the sheers to have privacy

Kids loved their Promenade cabin on Explorer. No noise, but they were 2 decks above the Promenade.

Just make sure you close your privacy curtains because people CAN see in from their cabin across the promenade.

Cute Story: the kids promenade cabin actually was over guest relations (even tho it is called a pr cabin). DS would sit on the couch by the window and count how many girls waved at him from the elevators!
