Shaw Park Beach

Hi,

 

Two gals, late 40's, traveling by ourselves, looking for a beach in Ocho Rios. From what I read, we should stick with the ship's excursions for this port.

 

I have searched the Board and can't find anything on Shaw Park Beach, which is what Celebrity lists as their beach excursion.

 

Has anyone been there? Can you tell me about it. We just want loungers, umbrella, food and drink..........

 

Also excursion says 3.5 hours, if you've done it, can you stay longer?

 

Would appreciate any info.

I am also interested in this excursion, and want to know if anyone has done the rafting tour first that then ends up on this beach.

Have not done it, but in the 70's we stayed at Shaw Park resort and the beach that was there was very nice.
