stretchcruz Posted September 23, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2010 As veterans of over 40 "ocean cruises" which no longer come with documents....we were very excited today to come home and have a big package with 2 tote bags and 2 separate cloth ticket folders...complete with maps, brochures, day by day descriptions of what we're doing....heightened our expectations even more! Avalon even sent "real" luggage tags embroidered with the Avalon logo. Now we really can't wait!!!
webfoot Posted September 23, 2010 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Have a wonderful trip. River cruising is great. Slow pace with lots of wonderful scenery. Love it!
rundent Posted September 23, 2010 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Yesterday got email notification from my agent that a package [actually it was from UPS] was coming today. Even though I've been through this lots of times it is, and will be, exciting. Larry
cnd crsr Posted September 24, 2010 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2010 I agree, it is exciting to get Avalon's package. Ours arrived a few weeks ago for our Affinity trip which we will fly out to meet in Amsterdam tomorrow. We did an Avalon trip 3 years ago from Prague to Budapest. It is a wonderful itinerary. Enjoy your cruise!
CTKath Posted September 25, 2010 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2010 Have a wonderful trip. River cruising is great. Slow pace with lots of wonderful scenery. Love it! We were exhausted from our cruise of the Rhine! They made us be ready every morning at 8:30 am for our excursions! The only morning that we could "sleep in" was the Rhine Gorge morning, and we still had to be on the top deck for 9 am! Great cruise - but nothing slow paced about it! stretchcruz Posted September 25, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted September 25, 2010 I get up at 5:30 every day for work, so meeting at 8 or 8:30 will be a cinch for us......by then I've usually already done 8 mammograms!! I can't seem to sleep in even on vacation, so no problem for us!
