NCL Ships - What's your favorite?

On the list which is your favorite ship that you've sailed?

The Star, been on her twice, Mexico 2005 and Alaska 2009. Also been on the Sky, Pearl and Pride of Aloha (Sky). Just something about her that makes her my favorite. Great crew and easy to get around the ship. I need to go on her again after the changes they made to her.

I love the Spirit. New Orleans is such a fun destination and is driving distance from home. I love the smaller size of the ship and the service and crew are wonderful. The ship is beautiful with her unique Asian decor. I absolutely love the fellow New Orleans/Gulf Coast/Southern fellow cruisers that seem to congregate on the Spirit!

 

We are booked for our third cruise on this wonderful ship for Valentine's Day and are planning another for 2012. We've also been on the Dream, the Sun, the Dawn and Celebrity.

Many of NCL's ships I have sailed have similar decor and carpets. Without a doubt the Spirit is the most unique. I wish all of NCL's ships were as different as the Spirit... :cool::cool::cool:

since only a few people have sailed on more than a handful of these ships, I suspect the poll results will reflect years in service and number of cruisers, not quality of the ship.

I voted for the Pearl, but, if offered, my first choice will always be the Norway. What a lady!!!

I can't really vote the Pride of America as my favourite since it's the ONLY ship I've been on so far, but it was great!

Best overall NCL product would have to be the Norwegian Jewel but the best decor solely on the ship is Norwegian Spirit. Wish more ships were that closely detailed in their interior. The attention to detail on the Spirit amazes me. :)

The Pearl was our favorite, but the Star won us over when we had a Garden Villa! Super crew, too!

My all time favorite will always be the Norway. There just was something about sailing on her. The newer ships are nice. They don't hold the history the Norway did.

The Majesty was my favorite ship, from the size, to the personnel, to the food.

I loved everything about her :)

I can!! It's the only ship we have been on as well but after 2 cruises on her she gets our vote!! Why did NCL leave the only NCLA ship off of their survey??

I voted for Jade, but it is really a toss-up against Sun, on which we've taken two cruises. I'm delighted to see how well Pearl is doing, as that's our next outing.

We vote for both the Crown and Majesty. Not necessarily in the same order. :p

Can't imagine if NCL brought back those sized ships again. I'd say they wouldn't have any difficulties sailing full, as they were exceptional.

Interesting how the Spirit and the Pearl are neck in neck in this race!

it matters a bit whether a ship is having engine problems currently, and if the ship is the best NCL ship offered in a market. This explains the fall of the Dawn and Star. Plus the Spirit is the best ship NCL has offered in the Boston and New Orleans markets. Maybe next year when the Dawn is based in Boston the poll numbers will change, but she has had a string of bad luck with her azipods and now her engine. The Star has had engine problems based in LA, and her 8 day Acapulco itineraries, many of them starting mid week hurt her reputation. When Disney moved a ship into the LA market NCL couldn't give away cruises to fill the Star. The Spirit was the second fiddle in Seattle, Miami, and New York City. Not so in Boston and New Orleans...

I also wanted to add that the Pearl is the best ship NCL has offered in Seattle, and she has seen both Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries based in Miami, the best of both cruises out of Miami... There is more to NCL than New York City...
