Shaw Park Beach

Hi,

 

I have posted this on the Jamaica Port of Call board and did not get replies, so I hope the moderators don't move it.......:)

 

Two gals, late 40's, traveling by ourselves, looking for a beach in Ocho Rios. From what I read, we should stick with the ship's excursions for this port.

 

I have searched the Board and can't find anything on Shaw Park Beach, which is what Celebrity lists as their beach excursion.

 

Has anyone been there? Can you tell me about it. We just want loungers, umbrella, food and drink..........

 

Also excursion says 3.5 hours, if you've done it, can you stay longer?

 

Would appreciate any info.
