First of all, it was truly a wonderful cruise and it was certainly nice to have a friend along to have some fun with!!!!

I went down on a Thursday and spent what was left of the day at Bayside and Bubba Gumps before crashing for the night at 7pm (LONG red eye flight from the day before meant for a 36-38 hour day of no sleep). I Then spent the next day, Friday, in Key West. It was Bike Week in Key West and there were hundreds or even perhaps a thousand, motorcycles in Key West. It was a great day and fun was had...LOTS of people on that tiny island. All quieted down when the two ships left around 3pm. The tour bus left at 5 and I was back at the hotel at 9pm.

This was my 10th cruise and it was awesome to have Platinum status. Well, there is a wee hitch in that because it seems Carnival gave me a Platinum card, but forgot to enter me into the system as a PLATIUNUM GUEST!!!! Needless to say, I had to go down and see what was up and it seems they did not have me reigstered as a Platinum guest!

I will now tell you that the remnants of Igor and Julia had an effect on the cruise. We had a rocking and a rolling ship almost the entire cruise!!! Five of the seven nights the ship was rocking and a rolling day and night...We had two nights where it wasn't......The drunks were walking straight, everyone else was swaying!!!!!

Half Moon Cay was the first port and nautrally, it was fabulous!!!

The sea day went nice and slow and since I looked like a lobster that had been cooked after a day at HMC I avoided the sun for most of the day and did the inside activites and such

St. Thomas--my friend and I did Colonial St. Thomas tour and had a good time. It was hot out and there is a lot of walking. We did Paradise Point and enjoyed a cool Bushwacker...YUMMY!!!!

San Juan--we took the free shuttle to El Morro and Old San Juan and explored for a while.

Grand Turk--my friend rented a golf cart and we bombed around the island TRYING to find the town but the map we were given was rather crappy and we never did find the town to see the main business are of Grand Turk. I guess on the Bloggers Cruise 4 I will need to gret a organized tour to see that!!!!! We did find the lighthouse and a shopping area after gettng lost once or twice.....The cruise center is, as usual, wonderful, and Margaritaville pool is heavenly. The beach on one side sucks and was like walking on rocks, but I guess the beach on the other side of the pier was sandy and much nicer...note to self for the Bloggers cruise....My sunburn was going away, until we hot to Grand Turk when it only got worse. Needless to say, I am a peeling big time!!!!!

We did take in the comedy club and Phat Kat and Allyn Ball were hilarious. Allyn Ball's adult show could be described as truly standing room only!!!!!!

Steakhouse-YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I had the filet mignon and it truly was amazing. No room for dessery at all!!!!!

Cabin Steward--ya, he left a LOT to be desired...He was NOT attentive and since I was platinum, we only managed (after ASKING for TWO bags) ONE bag of free laundry during the whole cruise.

Wait staff in dining room was outstanding! Ralph and Oliver did a bang up job serving us and putting up with the four people who usually showed up an average of 15 minutes late to as much as 45 minutes late (645 and they still got served). I tipped them well for the amazing service!!!!!

I think the best part was how generous the casino was to me on the last night. I had a machine I played that would keep me entertained for a good long while on the little bit of money I had to play. It was generous enough on the last night to give me some nice payouts, which I put back in. I opted at the last payout to take the money and run. I said, No, wait, I wanted to give that $1 Wheel of Fortune a try. I'd play the $100 the prior machine gve me and see what would happen. I was up and down and decided that it wasn't worth playing much longer and I would walk with my initial $100 when it got there....Well, I didn't walk away with $100....I walked away with $1600.......:D Yep, I hit the third rank payout (20G, 4000, then 1600) with $131 left to play...YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My next cruise is now paid off, er well, it will be in a few days when I call the PVP and pay it off *BG*......

All in all, me and Debbie (who was on a seven day leave of absense from her husband, children, and grandchildren) had a great time. Happy to have you Deb and glad your seven day LOA was just as amazing!!!!!!!!

It is now one day post cruise and I can safely say that I will be in full blown cruise blues by tomorrow, or whenever everything stops moving cuz my land legs will take a few days to get back!!!!!!!!

I am happy to report I have a cruise booked, so my cruise blues will really be waiting, and waiting, and waiting for February 25/26 to roll around for me to leave for the Bloggers Cruise on the Glory....
