PV tours What have you done?

Looking at ship's excursions and Johann and Sandra's tours. Looking at something adventurous, but not zip lining. Looking at snorkeling, ATV's, dune buggies, etc. Which ones have you done and did you like it/was it worth it. There are so many different ATV tours and dune buggy tours, but which ones are the most fun? The Dune buggy adventure with Johann and Sandra looks the best, but is it? Would love to hear from those who have done them. Leaving in 1 month!

Thanks in advance,

This was our second time doing this excursion, it was better this time.

The guide was so knowledgeable, about everything. Very personal, we were nine in our group four couples and one single man. Plus the guide. I was almost going to cancel because of the hiking part of the trip. I have a bad leg. But all the team made me feel good. I made it with almost no problem. Except getting in and out of the Unimog. We make alot of stops.

We booked it through Carnival at $99.95 per person. But we just wanted that extra protection. Last time we had a flat tire!!

BBQ was good. (No vendors) They were on the beach, but not where we ate.

The ride back, to the ship you can have all the tequila you want. Water and soda and beer is always available.

The only bad thing, was we were dropped off at the other end, and had to walk, or try to catch a golf type of ride to our ship, the Monarch of the Sea was in our original spot, so we parked in the "new" terminal. All the shops and vendors were at the "old" terminal. (Bad weather made them reverse their schedule). So we had to share and be the second ship in all three stops. Normally we are the only ship, which makes it better shopping, and getting tours, etc. If you want to see and do something different, this was the best for culture, definately not a "bus" tour. Highly recommend this tour, (for the second time) Saw what we wanted to see and do.

snorkeling and some beach time... catamaran tour

PV is not known for Catamaran Tours or Snorkeling, both are more popular in Cabo. There are many beach choices. We like Los Muertos beach, for the fun folks

There are plenty of quiet beautiful beaches in Puerto Vallarta

We are a group of 10 looking for options for snorkeling and some beach time- we were hoping for a catamaran tour that took it all in- anyone know of any options that would take these activities in- we will be sailing on the Splendor.

We have sailed aboard Geronimo a couple times and always had a good time. http://www.vallartaonline.com/tours/geronimo/

Also available through Johann & Sandra - http://www.puertovallartatours.net/geronimo-puerto-vallarta-catamaran.htm

Enjoy!

Hi - we took a city highlights tour in Puerto Vallarta last year and it was great. Not far from the cathedral in the old part of town, the bus stopped at a jewelry store for 15 minutes, but we wandered across the street and found a fabulous store that had glasses of all kinds - marguerita, wine, glass swizzell sticks etc. Great selection and fabulous prices. We are trying to find the same place again but haven't been able to pinpoint it even using the net. Really don't want to have to take that tour again just to find one store - anyone out there have any clues?

Thanks! :)

We were a party of nine in March (ages 10-60) and we opted for a private boat to Yelapa, booked through Johann&Sandra. Not in-expensive, but when you break it down to "price-per-person", it's quite reasonable.

We had the entire boat to ourselves, and fished, snorkled, cruised through the bird santuary, saw manterey's up close, were able to get within 20 feet of a mother whale and her calf, and spend a splendid afternoon in Yelapa drinking cold beverages and eating Lobster.

We all had a great time, and four of those in our party claim that it was the best day of the entire cruise!

One caution though....take extra cash for Yelapa, as you pay for your own beverages and meals while there.

There are a number of shops that carry a variety of glassware. We shop MUNDO DE CRISTAL on the south side as well as the shops along Insurgentes between the east end of the river flea market and Basilio Badillo.

Mundo de Cristal is located on the NE corner of Insurgentes and Basilio Badillo. Reference this map for location - http://vallartainfo.com/south.html

Enjoy!
