My first suite......

Next week, I'll be enjoying The Galaxy, this will be the first time in a suite. What can I expect from "Butler service"?

Also, is the T-pool complimentary? What else?

Thanks for all your help.

Yes, you will have use of the T pool. We had a suite on The Constellation and our favorite part was afternoon tea service. Your butler will bring around a cart to your room around 4PM with coffee, tea, pastries and little sandwiches. Great for when you're returning from port and are hungry (we usually missed lunch.) He can arrange last minute excursions, speed up any laundry or ironing, and arrange for small gatherings in your room. Have a great time!

We had a Royal Suite on the Galaxy a couple of weeks ago. Yes, the T-Pool is free, and the Butler brought around tea himself everyday around 4PM. No cart though, just 6 little sandwiches, and 6 cookies of his choosing on 2 plates. We did ask for iced tea, so he would make 2 trips to the room for us so he could actually bring us the tea.

If we wanted our choice of food selections, we did have to go to the Oasis Cafe.

Take Care,
Jaime

Thanks Clopaw, don't think we'll run into another "Hero" but we'll certainly watch out for him.

Jerrudy:

At the risk of being redundant because I mentioned it in another recent post, please remember you will have both a Butler and a Cabin Steward. Requested tips for each are $3.50 per day per person for each. Just something to consider in your budget.

A young newly-married couple from West Virginia were spending their honeymoon at a fancy hotel in NYC. The new groom mentioned to the desk clerk that they were newlyweds at checkin.
The room clerk asked, "Oh, would you like our bridal suite?"
The groom was a bit perplexed. He turned to his new bride and asked, "Do you want the bridal, sweet?"
Without hesitation, she replied, "Shucks no, I'll just hang onto your ears like always!!!"

PS We'll find out in Anne is monitoring this board from her ship.

Only problem with a suite is....you will be so spoiled that you will never want a regular cabin again!

Thanks for all the replies, I'm not worried about the extra tip, I'm sure it will be worth every penny, besides I have already bugeted for cost of the T-pool for the entire cruise, so I have an extra savings there. I thought about future cruises, I know this will totally ruin my future cruising plans and cabin selections forever.

Shirley and Les, I hope my husband can still hear ok after this cruise!

As others mentioned, you have just moved into a new level of cabin--probably for keeps! Have a great time and enjoy every moment!

Jerrudy: Have a fantastic time! When you get off, we'll be getting on for the Transatlantic. We won't be lucky enough to get Hero on our cruise either. (Hi Clopaw, Hero & Clopaw's DH!) Enjoy your cruise, t-pool, and suite! Kathy
