John&Betty Posted September 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2010 We will be in Quebec for a day and a half next September. We woiuld like to take a tour in a six or eight passenger van for the half day. The other day we plan to spend exploring the city of Qurbec. Has anybody had experience with a guide with a van? John You can definitely do the 'old city' on foot or even horse drawn carriage tour... lower and upper town very walkable and do allow an entire day! Do you want a van tour to Ile de Orleans, St Anne? Old Quebec Tours took a group of us to the Parade in Charlesbourg during Winter Carnival and they easily accomodate 8-12 per van... they do English tours which is better just bec. they don't have to repeat everything.. very prompt etc. Their website has Engish and French version.. this brings up English for me but if you get the French version look in upper right corner and you will see "English" option! https://www.toursvieuxquebec.com/en/page/home Enjoy:) = I love this city! Like going to Europe w/out the transoceanic flight.. No maybe even better! Wonderful galleries, food etc.. you could spend 4-5 days here in the city and surroundings... John&Betty Posted October 2, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Caroline, Thanks for the response and the info on Old Quebec Tours. We will contact them and see what they have to offer. The more we find out about Quebec City the more excited we are about going there. It looks like it has the old world charm of some of the places we have visited in Europe. It's not that easy to get to for us folks out here in California but like you say, easier than Europe! John
