sayvan Posted October 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2010 I am trying to figure out my best options. We will be traveling with a total of 6. Myself and DW plus 4 kids. Now I know I can look at two rooms etc. but just wondered if anyone has any experience with a type of room that would fit us all without having to take out another mortgage;)? I should mention the kids will range from 13-18. Have not decided on a particular voyage as of yet but somewhere in the Caribbean so we are open to different ships etc.
ANGSWIN Posted October 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2010 With FOUR teenagers, I would DEFINITELY book two rooms. You are really going to want more than one bathroom!
Irishlinny Posted October 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2010 I would never think of putting 6 people in a cabin, not even a suite...especially when they're not young. Go for the 2 cabins:)
Bunkie103 Posted October 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2010 Put your wife and yourself in a balcony and the four kids across the hall in an inside. That way you have two bathrooms and some privacy. I don't think any cabins accommodate 6, so you may not have a choice.
dancindukes Posted October 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted October 1, 2010 2 Rooms will work best. ALSO remember you can use the showers in the Spa when you have that many people trying to get ready all at the same time.
k2excursion Posted October 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted October 1, 2010 There are no rooms with Carnival that sleep 6. The Dream class have 5-person rooms, and older ships can put 5 into some rooms, utlizing a roll-away. So, you'd have to go with 2 rooms. Try to get connecting rooms. If you go with balconies next door to each other, you can have them open up the dividers of the balcony, as long as that one could be opened. Once you get on board, you can go to the pursers desk and get more rooms keys, so you can access both rooms. Look for a room that can sleep 4 (for the kids) next door to a room for 2. Grayce Posted October 1, 2010 #7 Share Posted October 1, 2010 I would go with 2 rooms. If you really want to save money, get 2 inside cabins next to each other.
