Serenade of the Seas - Room Over the Schooner Bar

We just booked our room and in looking at the above and below deck plans, we are located over the Schooner Bar...so that brought up two questions...

1) being over the Schooner Bar - will it be noisy?

2) is the Schooner Bar the smoking bar and has anyone had issue with smoke coming up into their room?

We were directly above the Safari Club which is just behind the Schooner.

 

Without a doubt, you heard the music until about midnight or so.

 

Since I don't normally come in until after midnight, I didn't notice much but my wife and kids sure did.

 

Smoke was not a problem.

My TA tried to book us over there as well I figured why chance it , the specialty restaruants are on the other side so I made her switch us , plus I like port side better.
