kbatschke Posted February 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2005 Just booked two rooms on 10/8/05 Glory; 8259 and 2279. Both are directly behind the elevator banks on the port side. Very convenient for elevator access, but I've suffered with hotel rooms that were too close to elevators and wondered if noise (machinery or people) is also a problem on cruise ships. Our last cruise room was about 6 down from the elevator and we didn't hear anything. Thanks, Karl
Cotton Posted February 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2005 On one of my cruises, I had an inside that backed up to an elevator. I was afraid I'd be awake all night, BUT...:)...happy to report I never heard a single elevator noise, and not much noise from people getting off. It was nice to walk out my door, around a corner and get on the elevator.
Lisa766 Posted February 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2005 I was on the Glory and my room was 2236 so it was farther from the elevators but I couldn't hear people going down the halls. Hopefully when I was trying to walk to our room I wasn't to loud for other people but I never had anyone come out and holler at me. :D
mnsawyer Posted February 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2005 We were a couple of cabins away from the elevator on the Triumph and loved it. No problems. We're sailing on the Glory and near the elevator as well.
