room010 Posted October 16, 2010 #51 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Hand washing is very important (and not just on ships) but ironically a lot of people who become super vigilant about sterilizing and sanitizing everything they come into contact with are the same people who fall victim to every bug and lurgey going around because they have compromised their immune system's ability to deal with them. Happy ks Posted October 16, 2010 #52 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Hand washing is important, but after washing your hands when you touch something with germs on it...there you go, more germs! For example, you can scrub away, use the paper towel to open the door, yet still pick up germs on the counter at Guest Services. Or the salt shaker on the table. My method to staying healthy while on a cruise is to wash my hands when needed and not worry too much. Oh, and stay out of the buffet.
