ok... brain fried at this point. just settled on this cruise for a great rate after too many alternatives. ok so now we are arriving in madrid on 29oct and connecting on vueling into barcelona. so now a hotel. looking for something of reasonable value approx $150 usd near las ramblas (where else). plan on a cab to the connie on the 30th. any ideas????

Welcome to our cruise! We're arriving in Barcelona on the 29th, and staying at the Conde de Barcelona on Passeig de Gracia.

We stayed at The Jazz. It was wonderful. The price was only about 148 USD per night. The location is great, very near the Ramblas. I think the cab ride to the Connie was about 25-30 euros. Also on a side note you will love the cruise. We just got back last month and had a wonderful time.

We are also on your cruise and the following one. We are staying at the Duc de la Victoria Hotel. We have stayed there previously and it was great. Located in the walk only zone two blocks off the Ramblas and fairly close to the Plaza Cataluna. You mighr try a search on Venere dot com.

Our room was booked with a continental breakfast.

We will be on the cruise as well. Staying at the Hotel Palace a couple of blocks away from the main square.
