bermuda8553 Posted October 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2010 Hi, Can anyone tell me what a hulled balcony is. I just got my cabin # and from what I can tell it is a little different from the regular balconies. I read on cc its a hulled balcony, but I'm not really sure if this is a good or bad thing, or it doesn't really matter just different. Will I have the same amount of room as a regular balcony room? Has anyone ever been in this room or one similar? Thank-you for any help you can give me.
skinnytoe2 Posted October 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2010 As I understand it, a hull balcony gets the name because it's essentially an opening cut in the hull. Hull balconies have a bit smaller opening than regular balconies so you get a little less view, but they would offer a little more protection from the weather. Here's a picture that explains it better: http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=992522
bermuda8553 Posted October 21, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted October 21, 2010 Thank-you for the reply. That was a great picture and illustration. They do look a lot smaller, but I called the TA and he said it can't be changed. Hey I'm on vacation so that beats working anyday! lol!
