Miss416 Posted October 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2010 I've read that they have both AUS and US outlets in the cabins so I was wondering if you can use them both? Or is it just AUS? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
sherri3802 Posted October 16, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2010 Good question. I have always assumed you would be able to use both, because there may be times the ship goes to more distant overseas areas, off the usual aussie routes, and it would be handy then for those from US with their appliances. But I have to admit that despite having been on the ship, I don't know for sure because of course we only used the aussie outlet.
Tigerman00 Posted October 16, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2010 You can use them both, we put a convertor into the US plug .. Ken
Flipper133 Posted October 25, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2010 We found however that there was only one Aussie outlet - even in our mini suite on the SP So...take a power board so you can plug in the mobile phone, the camera the lap top etc etc. cheers

Molly Doble Posted October 27, 2010 #8 Share Posted October 27, 2010 HI We just returned from the Sun Princess 2 weeks ago. We had an oceanview cabin and there was both Aus and US outlets. At the dresser was 1 US power point, at the corner stand under the TV was 1 AUS and 1 US power plug and under the hall table was 1 US power point. Hope this helps Tania

Dizziedi Posted October 29, 2010 #10 Share Posted October 29, 2010 You should not only take a power board, you should also take an extension cord. Di
pamesacruisin Posted October 30, 2010 #11 Share Posted October 30, 2010 We are Americans and just got off the Sun Princess earlier this month. You won't need a converter, as there are both Aussie and US outlets in the cabins. What I did forget about though was the fact that our US electrical items (mainly our sound machine) obviously couldn't be used at pre and post cruise hotels in Australia. Will remember to take a battery operated one next time we travel international. Have a wonderful cruise:) Pam
