Rum factory and beach combined?

Is there a rum factory, that we can tour, and then at the same facility there is a beach and bar/restaurant?

 

Seems as if I've read something about this but right now I can't remember the name of the place, or, if there truly is a place like this. ;)

Malibu Beach and Rum distillery tour. Although it's now called "Cockspur Beach Club and Cockspur Rum". You can do a google search for it. I hung out on this beach but skipped the distillery tour part and just hung out on the beach. Here are some pics I took. Very nice uncrowded beach and close to the port too. You can see the cruise ships in the first pic.

Thanks Cruiser 4 Life 66 - those are great pictures. The beach looks deserted, do you know if this is how it normally is?

 

Also, the sand looks rather brown...is this the norm for Barbados?

There were about 8 people on the beach. I think there were more employees of the beach club waiting for tourists than tourists. For around $10 I got a beach chair, umbrella and free drink. They also have changing rooms there, a gift shop, a bar, a place to get food, etc.

 

As far as the sand, it seemed like normal sand to me. If you do a Google search on "Malibu Beach Barbados" the first link has a birds eye view showing the beach, and the sand looks pretty and bright. When I was there I think it had rained overnight so the wet sand looked brownish.

 

I liked that the beach was close to the port, because I had about 3 hours to kill before a shore excursion started.
