Do Ocean View Windows Open??? LOL

Ok...this is my dumb question for the day...LOL

Acutally my hubby put me up to this question....does anyone know if the ocean view windows open up?? I don't remember that they do..and we are having an argument about this issue. Ha..Ha..

No..windows do not open....porthole or otherwise...

No the windows do not open. The only thing that opens to the outside is the Bal. door. But you can sit in your room and look out the window.

No they don't open, but a Carnival PVP told us they did. She said she was on the ship and she opened them. I still cannot believe this, I know she had to be lying.

Sorry, they dont open, but they still allow you to see out. We have had oceanview and balconies, and have enjoyed both. Heck, even inside cabins are still way better than going to work!:cool:

Everybodys' reply is correct....on the Conquest the windows don't open. However, they are large enough to enjoy the view with a really deep sill. My 24 y. o. daughter can actually sit in the window reclining on the sill slightly. She loved it...lol....24 going on 12...ya know.

Thanks to everyone for the reply...I won! I told him the windows don't open...I didn't remember opening them on other cruises....

After 25 years...maybe my hubby thought I was going to throw him out the window!! LOL!:)

When I was in the USNavy I was the Damage Control Petty Officer. My job was to make sure the ship was watertight. Now if a window near the waterline opened. Need I say more?

Years back on the Sagafjord, we had portholes that I think actually did open. Never tried it, but when we were in rough seas, the crew came in and put porthole covers on them!:eek: Yep Derf, a leak would not have been good!

As a smoker who tries not to smoke in my room, I WISH THEY OPENED. Would really help when the smokers don't slow down in their rooms.
