lol...Please enlighten me to some of the slogans you've heard. Once tour on the Poesia was enough for me. I have no idea how you managed 7 days!!

Food is such a personal thing. On our river cruise last year, my DH and I enjoyed the food immensely - good and well presented. the couple cruising with us did not like the food at all!!

 

I have never had a bad meal on a cruise ship, river or ocean. I feel any time I didn't have to plan it, make it or clean up after it is a win win situation for me. Yes, individual meals might not rate high, but overall, food has been very acceptable and we have sailed RCI, HAL, Princess, Viking and Luftner (River). Food is only one part of the equation for each cruise.

 

I will agree that things have changed since the first time we cruised in 1988. But, we also paid way less for our last cruise than that first cruise!!
