Tampa Hotel Single Lady

I am looking for a hotel for a 1 night pre cruise stay. I am traveling alone this time and get a little nervous when I do not know the area. I am looking for a "safe" area close to the airport and port. I also really prefer interior corridors.....any suggestions?

Do a Priceline for a 3*5 Tampa downtown hotel. Try ~$60-65. If you get it it will cost you ~$75 after taxes and fees. The noted hotels are Westin, Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, etc....

 

It will be $25 flat fee taxi from the airport to the downtown hotel. If the hotel does not offer free shuttle to the cruise port, it will be $5 taxi ride (minimum charge) as the downtown hotels are very close to the port.

 

So for around $100 you will get a very upscale hotel, wonderful and safe location, many options for dinner, etc.....
