Listening to "Lust for Life" While Reading This Board

So here I am at work, but with only 2-1/2 weeks to go before my cruise, NO WORK IS GETTING DONE (don't tell the boss!) I spend WAY too much time reading Cruisecritic.com!

So what song should come on the radio, but the Royal Caribbean TV commercial theme song, Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life." Once I stopped laughing, I started listening carefully to the lyrics. I do love the song, it's a perfect beat for getting people to watch the commercial, but have you ever really heard the lyrics?

With liquor and drugs

Now this is the best use of a liquor and drug-oriented song to promote a family cruise line that I've ever heard of!

Anyone got any suggestions for getting through the last 17 days before a cruise??

I checked out the lyrics a few weeks ago, and yes, it's amazing they actually chose that song... good thing they only use a little bit of the song!!!

Considering it was essentially the anthem for the movie Trainspotting (although the song is actually older than that), I too was surprised when RCCL adopted it as it's commercial theme song.
