Thank you for any information ===================== Wednesday, April 27 Sr. Calypso Finals "St. Maarten's premier cultural event is its annual Carnival, which includes parades, calypso competitions, reggae shows, and an endless array of stands serving traditional island food." "Apr.14 - May 2: Carnival. Mainly on the Dutch side, but the French side participates as well. "King Moumou" and "Queen of Carnival" are elected. Beauty contests, food competitions, calypso concerts, parades, "jump ups," floats, steel bands and bright costumes. One can visit "Carnival Village" on the Dutch side and see the burning of "King Moumou" at the end of the festivities."
