In summary, I really enjoyed the cruise portion of this trip. However, because of rough seas, some of the shore excursions were cut short (we were late to arrive). Also, I booked through Louis, and felt that the big tour companies were given preference (and their briefings were much better than the ship briefings). If I were to do it again, I would either do private shore excursion tours or book through Trafalgar (which seemed to be given the priority as we as had the best briefings). Thanks for the review. We will be taking this cruise in June with two grandsons as a 7 day pre-extension to a Grand Europeian Tour to Egypt and the Nile. We will exit the ship in Cairo. Been having trouble finding out much re the Cristol so was very happy to read your thoughts.
