NAUI checkout dives- RCCL

The dive shop on RCCL's ships uses PADI curriculum but the two are so close in certification that you wouldn't have any trouble going from one to the other. And if you have a PADI Open Water you can still get a NAUI Advanced Open Water. NAUI recognizes the PADI Open Water Certification for pursing advanced training.

I have noticed a bigger difference between individual dive shops and instructors affiliated with both NAUI and PADI than between the two certification agencies. If you have the chance to finish your certification on-board don't pass it up because it is the "wrong" agency, use it as an opportunity to get experience and get diving!

I did my original certification class a LONG time ago but I'm thinking I can read thru the lines here . . .

- If you have completed NAUI classes it is possible you'd find a PADI school willing to do your check-out dives. They will then grant you PADI certification.

- if you want NAUI cetification you need to do your check-out dives under NAUI instruction.
