Barcelona Hotels for Pre and Post Carnival "Magic" Cruise in 2011

Does anyone have a suggestion for a reasonable hotel in Barcelona for a pre and post cruise stay?

I have found a few hotels. I'm not sure what your definition of reasonable means, but to me it is around a $100 US dollars per night. I was looking for rooms that will hold three people, which is hard to find. This is what I find:

 

Novotel Barcelona City

Holiday Inn Barcelona City

B Hotel

AC Diplomatic

 

All of these hotels, I checked there ratings on Tripadvisor.

On the other Magic sailings there are many people staying at the Hotel Continental Barcelona. Hotel is located at the top of Las Ramblas and has free breakfast and 24 hr buffet which incl free wine and beer and soda pop.You can book directly on their web site and prices are good at about 90 euro to 120 euro for a balcony room.Our sailing is 6/12 and we actually have a list going of the people who are staying there.

We stayed pre/post last year at The Hotel Continental and will be doing the same next May. The location is great and the price is good also. You cant beat the place imo. Larry

I'll add you to the Hotel Continental list on the Magic 6/12 roll call. This makes 3 boys about the same age staying there with parents and grandparents before our cruise.

We booked Hotel U232 for one evening before the cruise.

U232 had some very good reviews in Trip Advisor and Hotel.com

 

Then have 2 nights in Sitges afterwards, and then a few days nights in Barcelona (Axel Hotel) before we head to Paris and Amsterdam

I stayed at the Jazz; very modern; near the Plaza; it was 109 when I booked directly with the hotel and booked it almost a year before
