cruisehappye2a Posted October 28, 2010 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2010 We are going on a cruise this winter with our 18 month old. We are flying into Orlando and will be renting a car to drive to the port. Do we bring our own car seat (we don't really want to store it on the cruise), or can you rent one and are they safe? What are your experiences with certain companies on this?
paul929207 Posted October 28, 2010 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2010 I would contact the rental company you are planning to use. I think in most of the islands, cars and buses do not have car seats and do not have anyway to secure one.
okgirl Posted October 28, 2010 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2010 The rental car companies in the US will have car seats, just notify them in advance. As a PP said in the various ports the taxi's, cars, buses will not have them.
sjcruiser Posted October 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2010 I have used National and Hertz at Orlando and Atlanta for infant/toddler seat rentals. I added it while making the reservation online each time. At both locations in Orlando, I received the seat was clean and in very good shape. At National in Atlanta, the seat was new, and was brought out in the plastic!!
