Chips401 Posted February 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2005 We are sailing on the Miracle in March. After the cruise we are renting a car to drive to Orlando. We have never rented a car before. We rented a mid-size, a Hyundai Sonata, Malibu or Ford Mustang. There are four of us, with four pieces of luggage plus a few carry-ons. I was wondering if anyone owned any of these cars or rented them before. I am concerned about getting us all in plus all of our luggage. The price to upgrade to a full size is a huge difference. So I was hoping all will fit in. Any ideas? Comments?
WeBeGone Posted February 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2005 IMO, 4 people with luggage will NOT fit in a mid-size. We rent a full size, large, Crysler Pacifica from Thrifty for 4 w/luggage. It was $64 one way, Key West to Ft. Lauderdale so it would be about that same rate Tampa/Orlando.
serene56 Posted February 21, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2005 A suggestion- Sounds like you are staying overnight before the cruise. Make two trips from the hotel to the port. Take one person with you and all the luggage...drop off the luggage to the porter then head back to the hotel to pick up your people. Drop off the car to the return place then head over to the pier.
