No more Comp Upgrades

My understanding is that guarantee suites are usually more available closer to the sail date as Seaborn is doing a final shuffle of suite based on cancellations, etc.

Guarantee suites have just come on the market in the UK for the 6 December crossing on the Odsyssey. Hold onto your seats - from £1199 ( ~$1800?). WOW!

My agent told me they only book guarantees when the category is sold out...however I'm not sure how that differs from a waitlist.

Certainly not so in the UK in my experience. I booked my last Sojourn cruise well in advance and I was offered a choice of nominating a suite ( from the availability list) or a guarantee. Both at the same price. The nominated suites were not well positioned so I opted for a guarantee. We were up graded to a V6 in a very good position. You pays your money and you takes.......!

Well that of course is the trade off you have to consider. We have booked guarantee's twice( because we were late in booking) and each time benefited from a very nice upgrade. But I certainly would not count on that -- I just tell my travel agent to ask Seabourn if at all possible to give us a suite with a bathtub.
