I will be sailing on the Imagaination along on 2/28/05. Since I'm alone, is it better that I book my excursions through Carnival so that I will go with other cruisers on my ship? I know this is will be more $$$, however, considering I'm alone, is it safer????

I'm a solo (female) cruiser, and I have never booked an excursion. I grab a cab and off I go!:) Plan where you want to go, ask the cab driver before you get in exactly how much the fare will be. (Not knowing where you want to go, I can't help w/cab fares.)

I'm in early 60s, have always been the adverturous type, not afraid to venture out on my own, BUT I am very careful/cautious of my surroundings. You'll probably go where there are lots of folks - like a beach or park, or in a commercial/shopping area? So - don't worry about it....just take off and have fun!
