KimandDave Posted February 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2005 Thinking about going on our own to Trunk Bay from St. Thomas with 9 and 11 year olds and our mothers in their late 70s. Will the moms be comfortable while we take the kids snorkeling? Is there a good place to sit in shade and have a couple of drinks? We expect it to be a little crowded but don't know about the facilities! Thanks!! Kim and Dave
The Islander Posted February 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2005 Hello Kim & Dave, The grandmas can sit or lay under the seagrape trees and enjoy the breeze and view. There is a small snack hut where they can get a drink and some 'bar food' type stuff (burgers, fries...). Not sure what type of facility you are looking for?? Trunk Bay is part of the National Park so while there is a snack shop, showers etc. its Park-like, well maintained. If you wanted more restaurant/resort then you might do Caneel Bay (which has a resort there, and is a very beautiful beach) and the grandmas can sit at the restaurant or on the beach. --Islander *****
